Frequently Asked Questions
Does your program have a waitlist?
We do not have a waiting list for our sonography program. We receive a moderate candidate pool and select up to six individuals into the program. Applicants who are not selected may reapply for the program the following year.
Do you offer online courses for sonography?
No, each course is offered with a hands-on simulation component in addition to clinical rotations, these are not easily replicated through online learning.
Do you offer night and weekend courses?
No, the program is full time, Monday to Friday approximately 7:30am-4:30pm, with some variability for the clinical site rotations.
Can I work full-time or part-time while taking this program?
We do not recommend our students attempt to work full-time during this program to assure optimal success. Students should expect to spend two hours of studying for every one hour of class time.
Can I take the prerequisites online?
CHEA and WASC accredited institutions that offer online courses will be accepted. Online schools such as straigherline.com, coursera.com, will not be accepted. Any specific questions pertaining to the individual, we encourage you to reach out, we would be happy to review.
Am I able to enroll in your program after completing high school?
Since our diagnostic medical sonography program is hospital-based, it is required for all applicants to have a bachelor’s degree in any field or complete their associates in a radiology technology program and have passed the registry. Please review requirements page for more information.

What kind of transcripts do I need?
We require sealed official transcripts, preferably sent within a completed application package. Please send official transcripts from all degree programs and official transcripts with letter grades for the prerequisite courses.
When can I turn in a completed application packet?
We accept completed packets year-round, although our deadline is June 30th for applications for the following year. The application review and interviews take place in the fall.
